The Secretary to the Kebbi State Government (SSG),Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida and Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC,Kebbi State,Alhaji Abubakar Sarki-Pawa have commended voters in the state for their large turn out and peaceful conduct during the bye election in Kebbi State.

SSG, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida while speaking with newsmen after casted his vote in Yauri noted that the voters in Yauri and other areas turned out enmass which was overwhelmed.

According to him, “we have observed so far that our people came out en mass which unprecedented when it’s come to bye election. They sacrifice their time to come out and cast their votes peacefully without any problem.

“So, there is no problem because this present administration have done well in the area of security in Kebbi South Senatorial district and that is why we are having peace to conduct election.”

While speaking with newsmen during his supervision of election at Yauri LGA,REC in charge of Kebbi State, Alhaji Abubakar Sarki-Pawa also commended his officers for the early arrival at various polling units with enough voting materials stressed that he had not received any complain from any quarters about late arrival of officers and materials.

He said: “we have been to many places including Shanga,now in Yauri, we have not received any complain because our Staff and voting materials arrived early. That is why we have not gotten any complain from anybody”, he said.
