“I applaud the Lions Club for this tremendous gift. We look forward to more collaborations with the administration to improve people’s living standards,” he remarked.

According to AbdulRazaq, diabetes is a chronic ailment that now affects 463 million adults worldwide, with the figure expected to reach 700 million by the end of 2045.

“According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the estimated prevalence of diabetes in Nigeria is 4.3%, which is largely attributed to lifestyle changes caused by urbanization, unhealthy diets, a lack of exercise, smoking, and the harmful use of alcohol,” he said.

Dr. Olabisi Abdulsalam, the Chief Medical Director of the General Hospital in Offa, praised Governor AbdulRazaq’s leadership abilities and his confidence in the power of collaboration to reposition the health sector in the state.

He also complimented the Lions Club International Foundation for the generous contribution, as well as the Offa community for their unwavering support throughout the project’s completion.
