Chippa United‘s technical staff is relieved after Stanley Nwabali revealed that he is open to extending his tenure at the club.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a transfer away from the South African club following a standout performance for the Super Eagles at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
South African giants Kaizer Chiefs and Belgian Pro League side Union St. Gilloise are reportedly interested in the shot-stopper.
Nwabali has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs as Amakhosi hunt for a reliable replacement for Itumeleng Khune, who is set to leave.

“Playing under an understanding chairman boosts confidence. Imagine you’re playing for a chairman who wants all of his players to be comfortable; you must work for this man, whether you’re on or off the team,” Nwabali told SABC Sport.
“To be honest, I really want to play with him for another year or two. If that is his wish, that is OK, but I genuinely want to stay because he is a good man.
“He wished me luck at the Afcon, and I truly want to show him my love by staying longer. But if that is the end of my time with the club at the end of this season, then so be it,” he added.
