The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is in talks with Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro over a new contract.
According to sources, the NFF management, led by Ibrahim Musa Gusau, is willing to pay the Portuguese soccer coach the same €50,000 monthly compensation he received before leading the team to second place in the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
According to the source, the 63-year-old former Saudi Arabia and Venezuela coach earned €70,000 a month before accepting a pay cut to lead the Super Eagles to AFCON 2023.

The former Saudi and Venezuelan coach guided the Super Eagles to second place in the competition.
According to the New Telegraph, Peseiro stated this week that he has received at least seven offers from various national teams and clubs and intends to make a decision on his future work in the coming days.
“I told everyone to return by the end of the month. What is certain is that I want to continue coaching, but I need to make an informed decision,” Peseiro stated.
