Anthony Joshua has claimed that he is ready to face Francis Ngannou, asserting that the former UFC champion performed well against the current WBC champion, Tyson Fury.
Joshua is scheduled to fight Ngannou on Friday, March 8, 2024.
Remember how Ngannou stunned the world when he defeated Fury in the third round last October? However, he lost the fight by a split decision.
Speaking ahead of his fight with Ngannou, Joshua insisted: “I just feel to myself that I will always be here and ready to fight any time,” the 34-year-old told Sky Sports.

“He [Ngannou] also had a strong showing against the current WBC champion, Tyson Fury. So I believe it will be beneficial for me to assess my situation,” he stated.
Joshua has faced a number of quality opponents during his career, ranging from Wladimir Klitschko to Oleksandr Usyk, with Joseph Parker, Alexander Povetkin, and many others in between. However, Joshua’s resume does not include American puncher Deontay Wilder or British foe Tyson Fury.
Joshua, on the other hand, points out that, despite the fact that fights with both opponents never materialized, he has previously promised to fight both.
Talks about a fight with Tyson Fury have stagnated and collapsed in the past, and Joshua had agreed to fight Wilder this year, only for the American to suffer a surprising upset loss to Joseph Parker and cancel the deal.
