Glovo Strengthens Customer Experience with New Partnership in Nigeria

The country’s largest Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brand boasting over 300 stores nationwide. Effective from August 2023, this strategic alliance positions Glovo as the primary platform for Chicken Republic‘s online orders.
The decision to forge this partnership came from Chicken Republic’s objective to streamline its partnerships and enhance customer satisfaction in the digital space. Through this collaboration, Glovo aims to elevate the online ordering experience for Chicken Republic’s customers, ensuring a seamless journey from order placement to delivery and providing more efficient service.

Glovo is currently operational in 58 Chicken Republic stores across Lagos, Abuja, and Ibadan. With this partnership, Glovo will further enhance customer access and convenience to Chicken Republic, while also expanding its own customer base. This move showcases Glovo’s impressive growth in the Nigerian market, establishing its leadership position within just two years of operations in the country.

Mr. Kofi Abunu, CEO of Food Concepts, which owns Chicken Republic, emphasized the significance of partnering with brands like Glovo that prioritize delivering excellent customer experiences. He believes that Glovo’s involvement will boost their deliveries and positively impact their business.

Lamide Akinola, the General Manager for Glovo Nigeria, expressed her satisfaction with the alliance between Glovo and Chicken Republic. She highlighted their successful collaboration since May 2022, where Glovo has consistently provided fast and superior service for Chicken Republic’s customers, making them a preferred choice for this partnership.

In addition to Nigeria, the two companies have plans to extend their partnership to Ghana, where Chicken Republic is already operational, and explore upcoming openings in other African markets. This expansion signifies Glovo’s strong presence not only in Nigeria but also within the African quick-service industry.
