By streamlining the process of requesting and obtaining eSignatures, this new Google eSignature feature will enable users to easily manage contracts, customer agreements, and other legally binding documents inside the Google Workspace ecosystem.

Users can now request and add signatures to official contracts without having to switch between apps or tabs thanks to the integration of eSignature into Google Docs. This represents a significant step toward streamlining the workday for both people and businesses. Users can easily access completed contracts and quickly request signatures and they can also keep track of pending signatures. Produce fresh copies of contracts in response to each request, making it easier to use documents as templates and supporting multiple eSignature requests.

For a seamless experience, sign official contracts directly from Google Drive for whatever they need it for.

The fact that Google intends to soon add more eSignature capabilities shows how committed it is to improving this amazing feature. These improvements consist of:

  • Non-Gmail Users: Adding the ability for non-Gmail users to request eSignatures.
  • Audit Trail: Reports for every completed contract’s audit trail are automatically generated.
  • Starting an eSignature on a PDF file: Making it easier to start an eSignature on PDF files kept in Google Drive.
  • Multi-Signer: The capability to ask multiple users for their signatures.
  • Audit Trail: Reports for every completed contract’s audit trail are automatically generated.

Customers of Google Workspace can access the beta version for now before rolling out to others. The beta testing of eSignature and other cutting-edge features is open to selected Google Workspace editions. The new custom email layouts in Gmail will be included in this beta, allowing users to create, modify, and reuse email templates to improve communication. To embrace the power of eSignature, administrators and Workspace Individual subscribers should be able to;

  • Find more information about sending signature requests and signing documents with eSignature in the Help Center.
  • Admins can sign up for the beta using the provided form in the link provided.

Beginning on August 8, 2023, Workspace Individual users will gradually receive eSignature support. Over the upcoming weeks, Workspace customers can apply for beta testing and add their names to customer allowlists.

The long-awaited Google eSignature feature for Google Docs and Google Drive will completely change how people and businesses handle document signing. The solution is a comprehensive one for the Google Workspace environment that will boost productivity, enable easy document management, and equip users to confidently navigate the digital world.

The advantages could go beyond what Google has already provided, giving users even more tools to improve productivity and streamline their workflows as Google continues to develop and expand this feature.
