Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard believes the club can win the Champions League and Premier League championships.
The Gunners’ 5-0 victory over Burnley on Saturday marked the first time in club history that they had started a calendar year with five consecutive league wins.
Arteta’s second-placed squad is two points behind champions Liverpool and has now turned its attention to European competition.
When asked if they had the team to compete on two fronts, the Norwegian international replied, “That’s what we want to do; we want to compete in every competition we play in.”
“Of course, the Champions League is a huge event, and we are looking forward to it.

“We just want to focus on ourselves and keep improving each game, and we will see how it goes.
“We are in a good spot right now. We must capitalize on that momentum, continue to build on it, and see what happens.”
Arsenal has won five consecutive games and scored 21 goals, following up last weekend’s 6-0 victory over West Ham with a five-star effort at Burnley.
“I think that’s what we were missing a little bit in the last few weeks before the break—we created so much but we didn’t score the goals,” remarked Odegaard.
“But in the last few games, we’ve been excellent in front of goal.
“There are so many individuals in the box and so many problems surrounding it. “So yeah, it’s been brilliant,” Odegaard concluded.
