The Adamawa State Police Command apprehended four alleged armed robbers and recovered a stolen Hilux vehicle from the residence of the state’s Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Muhammed Sadiq.
Other goods discovered included a Beretta pistol, three live ammunition rounds, two anti-tracking devices, mobile phones, and foreign currency.
On Sunday night, the criminals broke into the commissioner’s house, stole his belongings, and harmed him.

The accused armed robbers are Salihu Buhari, 38, and Abdullahi Abubakar, 35, both from Garoua in the neighboring Cameroon Republic; Isa Adamu, 55, of Tudun Wada, Sokoto State; and Mustapha Muhammed, 47, of Lelewalji, Girei local government area, Adamawa State.
SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), stated that the suspects were apprehended by a squad of police operatives attached to the Girei Divisional Police Headquarters after the attack on the Commissioner’s house.
