He has faced public scrutiny following a video surfacing of him and his associates disrupting Mohbad’s video shoot with Zlatan Ibile.

Allegations arose that Sam Larry and his group had mistreated Mohbad, affecting his career opportunities after he parted ways with Marlian Record. Mohbad had previously lodged a police complaint three months ago, citing threats to his life.

In response to these accusations, Sam Larry released a video denying any involvement in Mohbad’s death. He expressed deep affection for Mohbad, describing him as a beloved “brother.”

Recounting his support for Mohbad during their time at Marlian Records, Sam Larry said “when he was signed to Marlian Records, he knew I loved him so much. Even his wife and everyone else know that I love Mohbad.

“Everywhere I go, whether it is Kenya or Dubai, I will call him so that we can go together. I will pay Marlian Records for a show, and we will go together.

“The videos going viral happened last year when I was not in the country. So, I can’t kill Mohbad, God sees my heart, and I love him so much. I don’t know anything about his death.”

This situation has garnered attention within the Nigerian music industry, prompting inquiries into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death and shedding light on relationships within the entertainment community.
