After a two-year break, the highly anticipated Lagos Theatre Festival (LTF) will return in March with a magnificent play.
While the 2024 version of the LTF will be a showcase to bring performing arts back to the forefront of people’s minds in preparation for the big bang in 2025, all attendees can expect an immersive experience.
Despite significant obstacles in recent years, the LTF offers engaging performances that reflect the variety of the arts, highlighting the festival’s commitment to diversity, cultural research, collaboration, and the forging of relationships between Nigerian and international artists.
Speaking about the LTF 2024 Showcase, Lydia Idakula, artistic director and part of the management team, stated, “It’s been a hard couple of years, but it’s also been a time for us to grow and increase our experience in the industry. We remain steadfast in our goals and vision of empowering new and established artists and assisting them in creating powerful work that can travel and be experienced worldwide. We also have a renewed enthusiasm and desire for cultural exchange and international collaboration. We are aiming to establish platforms that will allow our producers to participate in these programs. The future looks bright as we soar to new heights, and we’d love for you to join us.”
