Kaduna Debt: You’re Disrespectful, Activist Says El-Rufai’s Son Over Attack On Governor Sani

Sani

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has been the target of a “disrespectful and mannerless” outburst from Bashir El-Rufai, son of former governor Nasir El-Rufai, according to Hon. Ibrahim Ahmadu, a Kaduna politician and activist.

The activist claimed that Bashir was acting like a “badly trained child” in addition to being shortsighted in his outrage over Governor Sani’s announcement of the financial burden on the Kaduna State Government in his tweets on Saturday.

In reaction to the widely shared tweets by Bashir El-Rufai, Comrade Ahmadu stated that Governor Uba Sani was justified in disclosing the debt that Malam Nasir El-Rufai, his predecessor, had left behind.

The incapacity of the son of the former governor to comprehend the reason behind the information’s disclosure is the issue.

“His vituperations are reckless, ignorant, and unacceptable, especially because the man concerned has assisted the family throughout difficult times of political turmoil.

“Was it inappropriate for Governor Uba Sani to address Kaduna locals at a town hall meeting? The governor claimed he inherited a massive debt burden that was depleting the state’s federal allotment.

“As people of the state, we cannot accept a situation in which N7 billion of the state’s N10 billion federal budget in March was removed to settle its debt.

“And for the ill-trained son of a former governor of the state to trash the current governor is impolite in the extreme.

“Bashir ought to hide his head in shame. “If Uba Sani speaks up about how El-Rufai, his father, looted the state, they will all be imprisoned,” Ahmadu said.
