The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face familiar rivals Ghana and Mali in a friendly game later this month. The friendlies will take place in Marrakech, Morocco.

The game against Ghana will hold at the Stade Grande de Marrakech on Friday, March 22, with the Super Eagles facing Mali in the same venue four days later.

Before the games, the Super Eagles, who are still without a permanent coach following the expiration of head coach Jose Peseiro’s contract, had the list of players called up for both games made public by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Captain Ahmed Musa has been left out of the squad. He was part of the Nigerian side that reached the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) but did not play a single minute in the competition.

Alex Iwobi, Stanley Nwabali, and Victor Osimhen, who played in Ngeria’s 2-1 final loss to Cote d’Ivoire, are in the squad. Luton’s Gabriel Osho and Benjamin Tanimu have been handed maiden call-ups to the squad.
