Federal Representative,State assembly lawmaker impact constituents and Nasarawa as Akwanga and its environs will continue to be remembered by some youths, widows and the less privilege within the religion.

Our correspondent report that while Honourable Jeremiah Umaru , the member representing Nasarawa Eggon, Wamba and Akwanga Federal constituency in the green chambers of the National Assembly empowered youths , widows and others. Dr Hajara Danyaro Ibrahim, the only female state lawmaker representing Nasarawa Central Constituency , put a smile on some clerics in her constituency.

At their different venues at Akwanga and Nasarawa respectively, beneficiaries part home with items of both socio economic values as well as cash donations.

Techrectory gathered and report that, Amb Jeremiah Umaru who used the event to mark his 100 days in office, assured that his performance of 100 days in office is a prelude to greater service and effective representation of his constituents.

He noted that he is not elected for self-aggrandizement but to ensure he changes the narrative in his constituency by meeting the yearnings, aspirations and expectations of his people who graciously and confidently gave him their mandate during the electioneering period.

Umaru further said despite the challenges, he has been able to touch the lives of the people through various people-oriented projects, aids and interventions, including sponsoring bills and motions, on-the-spot assessment of issues within the constituency, collaborations and partnerships, as well as carrying every constituent along for Posterity sake.

The items Distributed to empower the people includes 20 Cars, donation of 300kva transformers for some communities across the 3 Local Government Areas of Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon, Modern Charcoal Stoves, Freezers, sewing machines and grinding Engines as well as awarded 101 Scholarship to Students of Higher Institutions.

Similarly,Hon Hajara Ibrahim Danyaro, member representing Nasarawa Central in the Nasarawa State House of assembly donated N5,000 cash each to 100 religious leaders as palliatives in her constituency in order to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal in the country.

Danyaro, while making the disbursement of the funds promised to continue to put smile in the faces of the people of her constituency

The only female legislator in the state assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Women Affairs said that the roles of religious leaders in promotion of peace and unity can not be overemphasized, hence the need for the gesture.

According to her, ” this cash ( palliative) is to improve on your standard of living and that of your family members as a result of fuel subsidy removal in the country.

” Today, this is the second batch of my palliatives to the people of my constituency among other gestures. In the first batch, I have distributed palliatives to over 400 people of my constituency.

Hon Danyaro urged the religious leaders to continue to pray for the unity, peace, progress and development of the country and for leaders to succeed.

” I will continue to do my best and to ensure that I will bring speedy development to Nasarawa Central constituency” she said.

Besides, she assured the people of her constituency of her continue commitment to protect and fight for the poor, adding that the committee set up by the House to investigate alleged diversion of palliatives would ensure that what belong to the poor is given to them.

On their parts, Sen. Abubakaar Sodangi, the Chairman of the Occasion, represented by his Special Assistant, Mr Sale Ahmed, Dr Zainab Ahmed, former SSG in the State , Hon Dikko Mohammed, former Chairman, Keffi LGA, among others commended Hon Danyaro for disbursement of cash to the religious leaders and prayed God to bless her abundantly.

Responding, Rev. Ishola Peter, CAN Chairman, Nasarawa LGA and Mr Suleiman Aliyu , an Islamic Scholar appreciated Hon Danyaro for the gesture and prayed God to bless her abundantly.
