Mercy Chinwo, a talented and vibrant international gospel singer, will perform her first live concert in Lagos State on March 29, 2024, which falls on ‘Good Friday’ during this year’s Easter celebrations.
The free performance, titled ‘Overwhelming Victory,’ will begin at 5 p.m. at the Eko Hotels and Suites.
GNT Music, part of Grace and Truth Nation (GNT), co-founded by Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, said in a statement that during the ‘Mercy Chinwo Live In Concert,’ the anointed gospel singer will debut her 12-track album, ‘Overwhelming Victory,’ which she recorded while pregnant.
“It’s a journey woven into songs of faith, hope, and victory. Mercy Chinwo’s music is more than just entertainment; it is a spiritual experience that uplifts, empowers, and rejuvenates the soul,” according to the statement.

Chinwo also mentioned that Romans 8:37 served as inspiration for the new album. She remarked, “Overwhelming Victory symbolizes the spiritual victory that we have through Christ’s love. The album’s tracks, such as ‘Father Eh’ and ‘My Lover,’ highlight numerous aspects of this victory, including fidelity, might, joy, and reassurance in our faith journey. It is intended to raise, inspire, and affirm the listeners’ faith by providing spiritual insight and encouragement.
“Overwhelming Victory represents a new chapter in my personal and artistic development. The creative process required an international focus, late nights, and a stronger dedication to share my faith story.”
The Overwhelming Victory CD included fruitful collaborations with Chioma Jesus and Pastor Jerry Eze.
Before ‘Overwhelming Victory,’ Chinwo had achieved success with projects like ‘Elevated,’ ‘Wonder,’ and ‘Confidence.’
