Justice Nurah Yusuf of the Kano Shari’a Court has ordered that Murja Kunya, a notorious female TikToker, undergo a psychiatric examination due to concerns about her behavior during court proceedings.
Murja, who is facing allegations of indecency and immorality brought against her by the Kano State Hisbah Board, appeared in court early Tuesday morning to continue her trial.
Justice Yusuf, on the other hand, voiced concern about Murja’s behavior throughout the court proceedings, speculating that she was under the influence of narcotics or suffering from a mental illness.

As a result, he ordered her release from the detention facility and into the custody of the Hisbah Board.
The Hisbah Board was responsible for ensuring that Murja was thoroughly evaluated by a psychiatrist to establish her mental health.
The court has consequently deferred the trial to May 20, 2023, pending the medical report from the psychiatric evaluation.
The rumor regarding Murja’s strange abduction from a Kano Correctional Center circulated for days until the State Government rejected the reports on Monday, claiming the suspect was just taken out of the institution by security personnel to allow an investigation into another problem involving her.
