Bauchi APC Passes Confidence Vote On Tinubu, Shettima

Bauchi

The Bauchi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reiterated its trust and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s federal government and Vice President Kashim Shettima. The party responded to a message circulating on social media attributed to certain party members accusing the president of ignoring APC members from Bauchi.

Barrister Saadu Umar, chairman of the APC’s publicity committee, told the media at the party’s secretariat in Bauchi yesterday that the president and vice president, as well as the APC leadership, had the party’s unshakable support.

He went on to state, “We implacably condemn the wild accusation that the APC leadership, the federal government, and the judiciary have jointly or severally neglected or maltreated the Bauchi State APC, its members, and the entire population of Bauchi State. This is absurd, and nothing can be further from the truth.”

Umar stated that President Tinubu’s affection for Bauchi is evident in his appointment of two of the state’s sons to vital ministries, including foreign affairs, health, and social welfare. He also stated that the party has complete faith in the judiciary as an institution and has faithfully accepted all judgments duly delivered by the courts because the judiciary has demonstrated itself as an institution by retaining some APC seats despite losing the governorship case challenging the election of Governor Bala Mohammed of the PDP at the Supreme Court.
