The APC Grassroots Governance Group (APC G3) has advised Nigerians to be patient in the face of severe economic hardships, arguing that the President Bola Tinubu administration should be given the benefit of the doubt regarding promises of economic recovery.
In a press release issued yesterday, APC G3 stated that the current economic crisis is deep-rooted but manageable.
According to the press statement, which was signed by APC G3 national coordinator Amechi Chuks Oyema, the Tinubu administration made the daring move of ending fuel subsidies and floating the naira.
According to the group, “these are well-intended steps to reshape the economy and end reliance on imported fuel.”
“Over the years, significant amounts of money have been spent on the importation of fuel and other non-essential items. This is an opportunity for us to reflect deeply on the future of our country.

“We also agree with social critic Reno Omokri on the importance of Nigerians purchasing locally made products. We cannot be building other economies while our own is in ruin.
“We agree with and support President Tinubu’s steps to safeguard our country’s security, which would allow our people to return to their farms and ensure food sufficiency.
“APC G3 is aware of what all of our staff are going through, and it is not funny at all. However, we may be confident that President Tinubu and his team are working tirelessly to remedy our economic troubles.
“We also support the current administration’s anti-corruption efforts. It must be pursued to its logical conclusion,” APC G3 stated.
