President Bola Tinubu praised Nigeria’s Super Eagles for their tenacious effort in the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Côte d’Ivoire.

President Tinubu, in a statement issued Monday morning by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, commended the team, the coach, the crew, and the entire management team for their hard work, assiduity, and sacrifice in getting this far in the tournament, acknowledging the challenges they overcame with steadily improving performance as they advanced to the finals.

The President advised Nigerians to be optimistic, emphasizing that our grit, rigor, and commitment on the field of play earned us a big win in the hearts of Africa and the globe.
