As school children resume for the new academic year, we at Wendoo School Breakfast Empowerment NGO are thrilled to embark on a mission close to our hearts, ensuring that every child has a hot meal and a heart full of HOPE. Nurtured physically and mentally.
For many children, the return to school is marked by the excitement of new friends, engaging lessons, and boundless possibilities. However, for others, it can be a time of uncertainty, especially when it comes to something as fundamental as having enough to eat.

Our commitment to these children remains unwavering. We believe that no child should ever have to face hunger and the quality of their education should not suffer as well. Both go hand in hand.
Since February 2023, Wendoo School Breakfast has provided sumptuous meals weekly to over 250 school children at Nkeze Primary School, and we need to expand to include Ugboko Primary School and Comprehensive Secondary Schools all in Idumuje-ugboko.

Your financial donation means so much to us. It costs about NGN 250,000 weekly to feed these school children. You are a vital part of these children’s life journey. A journey that brings smiles to little faces, eases the burdens of struggling families, and creates a brighter tomorrow for our community.

THE OBJECTIVES:

FOOD
Ensuring that no child goes hungry is our aim. This can only be realistically achieved with donations and support from organisations and well meaning individuals. Feeding the children will help them concentrate better in school so that they can get the full benefit of their
education. We are poised to continue the feeding programme at the beginning of October 2023.
We aim to increase the number of feeding events to 3 times a week. The dream is to expand the programme in Idumuje Ugboko to the second primary school in the village, and to the secondary school as well. A state-wide reach would be the ultimate target.

EDUCATION
We aim to provide a MOBILE LIBRARY to serve the schools in the area and the community at large. We want to provide access to books, computers, printing services, letter writing sessions and use of the Internet.

MOBILE CLINIC
Our goal is to also establish a mobile clinic, with collaborations with healthcare professionals, to aid the efficient administration of vaccines and basic healthcare to the children, the school and the community at large

COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE FOR CHILDREN AND RURAL WOMEN
We are firmly focused on delivering comprehensive community health care to all rural children and women. The mental health and general well-being of the children will be a particular focus, as real wellness comes from within. We are advocates of WOMEN EMPOWERMENT and aim to launch a forum that will provide a platform for rural women, promoting their self-worth and reinforcing their right to determine their own choices, and their ability to influence social change for themselves and others.

We need your support to achieve our goal of providing FREE school meals one day a week to 700 school children (all schools in the village). Our Feeding programme resumes again in October 2023.
Your donation and support is required urgently PLEASE
