Guinea-Bissau winger Carlos Mane has vowed that the Super Eagles will not find it easy against his side in their final group game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. This is also as Mane admitted that the Djurtus will be gunning for their first ever AFCON win when they square up against the Super Eagles on Monday.
“It’s true that we are yet to win a game at the AFCON since we started participating in 2017,” Mane, who plays for Turkish club Kayserispor, said in a press conference in Abidjan.
“It will be great to get our first win in the AFCON against a big country like Nigeria.
“We are ready for this game. It’s going to be difficult to beat Nigeria, but we will play for our country and our family. We will surely make things difficult for them.”
The game between Guinea-Bissau and Nigeria is billed for 6pm Nigeria time and will be played at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
