MTN creates business and ICT skills program that can help expand companies

The structure and dynamics of how firms work today have been improved by technology. The MTN Foundation ICT and Business skills training program is made to assist young business owners in acquiring necessary business and technological skills to support the expansion of their enterprises.

In order to administer the training across 16 states in Nigeria, the Foundation has worked with business leaders like Oracle, KPMG, IBM, Digital Bridge Institute, CISCO, Google, Meta, and Microsoft since 2018. Over 4000 young entrepreneurs have now finished the training course.

In collaboration with Microsoft and Meta, the Foundation has announced the beginning of the sixth phase of its training program for 3000 young entrepreneurs. The course is intended for company owners and entrepreneurs in Ebonyi State , Edo State , Ekiti State, Kebbi State , Niger State, and Yobe State who are between the ages of 18 and 35.

The five-week online course will cover subjects like digital entrepreneurship, ICT for business success, and new generative AI skills. Participants will also learn how to launch and expand their internet enterprises. You require MTN ICT Business Skills training for the following four reasons.

The ICT and Business skills training is a five-week immersion program designed to give entrepreneurs business and tech skills.

1. Relevant tech skills for business growth. Topics including digital entrepreneurship, ICT for company success, and generative AI abilities will be covered in the program. Through the Meta Boost small business studios, participants will also acquire skills for starting and expanding their firms online.

2. Gaining knowledge from subject-matter experts: Meta and Microsoft employees will be available to answer questions during the Skills program. Participants can also learn from and interact with MTN Nigeria’s senior executives.

3. Grants for business equipment: The training also includes a 90 million naira award for business equipment for the top 300 participants. Participants thus have a chance to win business equipment that will help them expand their companies and streamline business operations.

4. Online instruction: The five-week immersion program is entirely online. In order to attend the program, participants don’t have to worry about stepping outside of their comfort zones. They are able to participate in the training remotely.

At the conclusion of the program, the top 300 participants will also get an equipment grant worth 90 million naira.
