UATH Gwagwalada Promotes 99 Percent Staff, Says CMD

The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH) Gwagwalada, Prof. Bissallah Ekele has said that the management of the hospital has promoted 99 percent staff.
Ekele who was represented by Acting director administration of the hospital, Mr. Costantine Nwaka disclosed this during the 2023 NASU quadrennial delegates conference of the trade group Council noted that the management of the hospital under his leadership has been having cordial working relationship with NASU as well as other unions in the teaching hospital.
The CMD equally revealed that the hospital has paid the promotion arrears of all the promoted staff just as he implored them to reciprocate government gesture by showing commitment and dedication to their Primary assignment.
Prof. Ekele enjoined the delegates to relax and enjoy the available facilities in the hospital during their stay in UATH, adding that in 2013 and 2015 the Hospital hosted similar event.
Also contributing, the National President of the NASU, Dr. Makolo Hassan stressed the significance of unity among members of the Union.
He cautioned his members against allowing others who in the past benefitted and enjoyed positions in NASU to use them to distabilise the the Union.
Dr. Hassan called the attention of the delegates on Section 40 of the 1999 Constitution permiting staff to belong to any Union of his/ her choice just as he appreciated the support the management of UATH is given to the Union when the need arises.
The President called branch Chairmen to follow up to IPPS office and ensure their members dues were not taking to other unions due to promotion.
