The Lagos Region of TCN has taken delivery of a new 100MVA power transformer with its accessories over the weekend at its 132/33kV Transmission Substation in Lagos.
A statement from TCN, states that the new transformer will replace the existing 30MVA capacity power transformer.
On installation, the statement further noted, the 100MVA transformer will add 64MW to the wheeling capacity of the substation, enabling Eko DisCo to offtake more electricity to its customers in IJORA-OLOPA, IJORA-BADIA, IJORA-7UP, LAGOS ISLAND and MARINA.
“This is part of the numerous ongoing grid expansion projects by the TCN and the World Bank, ” the statement added.
