S’Court victory, source of motivation to my administration to work says Benue gov

The Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has expressed excitement over the victory at the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court victory, he said, will motivate his administration to do more to develop Benue State.

The apex court had dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate in the governorship election, Titus Uba.

Addressing journalists in Abuja after the judgment, Alia said the victory would ginger him to give his best to the state.

He urged people across the state, regardless of their political affiliations, to unite and contribute to its development.

It’s in report that Supreme Court on Monday dismissed the appeal by the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate in the Benue governorship election, Titus Uba.

The governorship election petition tribunal and the court of appeal in Abuja had affirmed the election of Hyacinth Alia as governor of Benue state.

Not pleased with the judgments, Uba approached the apex court for redress.
