In a bid to revolutionize digital payments, ProvidusBank, in collaboration with Mastercard, has unveiled the Providus Amphi Card.
This innovative payment solution, recognized as the first QR-on-Card offering in the region, is designed to cater to SMEs, merchants, and cash-centric businesses.

Addressing the challenges faced by MSMEs, including limited access to financial services and the recent impact of demonetization policies, the Providus Amphi Card offers a secure and integrated financial solution.
Each card comes equipped with an imprinted QR code, enhancing the banking experience for corporate customers.

Highlighting the significance of MSMEs in Nigeria’s economy, the card provides access to Mastercard’s SME benefits programs, such as Entrepreneur Odyssey and Easy Savings Specials.
These programs aim to support micro and small businesses by providing business training content and discounted value-added services from global and local third-party vendors.
“Africa has made commendable progress in transitioning towards a cashless society. However, further penetration and the introduction of innovative solutions remain essential for driving the financial inclusion of underserved communities,” noted Mark Elliott, Division President for Sub-Saharan Africa at Mastercard.
The Providus Amphi Card features various benefits, acting as an additional avenue for collections and revenue generation. It includes innovative QR payments, expense reduction, cashback, or discounts, driving convenience across the payment ecosystem.
