Ongoing search for Nasarawa Monarch enters day 4

In spite of intensified search for the abducted first class emir of Gurku , Alhaji Mohammed Waziri Jibrin and his wife there seems to be no respite as residence of Gurku are thrown into fear and uncertainty.

The monarch and his wife were kidnapped on Sunday night by unknown person’s suspected to be kidnappers who invaded the palace and went away to unknown destination with the first class royal father and his wife.

Report of the abduction of Alhaji Waziri Gurku has entered it forth day with no information to his whereabout despite the deployment of a combined team of security operatives and vigilantes who have launched a man hunt to rescue the monarch and his wife.

This ugly trend has left residence of the area in worries as prayers by some visitors to the palace of the abducted emir continues.

Reacting to the the ugly incident the Executive Chairman of Karu Local Government Council, Hon. James Thomas, in recent times some criminals have refused to allow the good and innocent people of Karu local government to go about their farming and other economic activities.

He pointed out that the criminals have succeeded in instilling fears on people who go about their lawful businesses by abducting them for ransom.

Regretting that the royal father was kidnapped around 12 midnight on Monday, in his residence in Gurku town, by unknown gunmen who shot sporidicaly and whisked him away with his wife.

” As we are all aware, security challenges are not peculiar to Karu LG, as such it is totally unacceptable under my watch as the chief security officer of the council.

” I wish to re-assure the people of Karu Local Government, that we are on top of the situation to ensure the quick release of the Royal Highness and his wife from their abductors and curtail the ugly security situation in the area.

” I am therefore calling on the residents to be vigilant and report any clandestine movement to the security for prompt action” The chairman said.
