Normalcy Returns To Adamawa Communities After Communal Clash

Normalcy has resumed following the communal clashes in Adamawa State’s Selti and Kpasham areas, which claimed three lives.

SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), made the announcement in a statement on Wednesday.

SP Nguroje added that the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, personally patrolled and examined the region with a team of operatives, and that order has now been restored in the areas.

He further stated that an investigation is still ongoing to identify and apprehend the murderers and their accomplices.

The CP then urged citizens to avoid violence and go about their lawful business without fear.

The Command also advised the public to report anyone with doubtful character to the local police station or emergency hotline.

“The CP assured the government and good people of the state that the perpetrators of these acts would be diligently prosecuted, as the command will not fold its arms and allow a few among the residents to disrupt the peace of the public,” according to the press release.
