Governor Mutfwang of Plateau State reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to unity and progress during the reopening and rededication ceremony of the Plateau State Government House Chapel of Grace in Jos. In a poignant address, he underscored the imperative of fostering a cohesive and prosperous society, free from the shackles of ethnic and religious discord.

Established by former governor Joshua Dariye, the Chapel stands as a beacon of interdenominational worship, symbolizing the collective faith and shared aspirations of Plateau’s diverse religious communities.

Addressing a diverse audience of government officials, religious leaders, and community members, Governor Mutfwang emphasized the indispensable role of collective action in realizing his vision for a more harmonious and thriving Plateau. He articulated, “As a servant leader, my foremost aspiration is to witness a united and flourishing Plateau where ethnicity and religious affiliations pose no barriers to progress.”

Governor Mutfwang elucidated the Chapel’s pivotal role as a unifying nexus, fostering solidarity amongst the populace while respecting individual faith traditions. He stressed that the Chapel would complement existing worship assemblies, serving as a conduit for communal devotion and shared purpose.

Emphasizing the virtues of humility, patience, and mutual understanding among believers, Governor Mutfwang underscored the paramount importance of spiritual unity in propelling the state towards development and prosperity. Reflecting on Plateau’s untapped potential as a catalyst for Nigeria’s economic growth, he expressed optimism about harnessing the state’s abundant resources to feed the nation in the foreseeable future.

Echoing the governor’s optimism, guest preacher Brother Gbile Akanni envisioned a transformative journey for Plateau State, urging attendees to uphold principles of fairness, faithfulness, and exemplary conduct in their daily lives.

The appointment of Rev. Benjamin Nadabo as the new chaplain of the Government House Chapel marked a significant milestone in its revival. Rev. Nadabo was charged with the sacred responsibility of stewarding his position in accordance with divine ordinance, as reiterated by Rev. Dr. Stephen Baba Panya, president of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) and CAN National vice chairman.
