EFCC Arrests 13 Over Alleged Internet Fraud in Kano

The Kano Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended thirteen people suspected of internet fraud.

According to information provided on the anti-graft agency’s official platform, formerly Twitter, the arrests were made in Kano’s Badawa district.

The EFCC stated that the operation was carried out in response to intelligence information pointing to a syndicate suspected of actively engaging in cybercrime.

Several incriminating artifacts were discovered on the accused during their arrests, shedding light on the nature and scope of their alleged illegal activities.

The information further stated that the suspects are currently in custody and that investigations are underway to obtain additional evidence.

It further stated that after the investigations are completed, the suspects will be promptly charged in court.
