Drug war: Naira Marley put heads together with NDLEA boss, Marwa in Abuja

Nigerian singer and founder of Marlian Records, Azeez Fashola, known professionally as Naira Marley, on Thursday met with the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Mohamed Marwa.

It was gathered that the meeting of the music star and the NDLEA boss, Marwa, was aimed at discussing more viable ways in tackling issue of illicit drugs in Nigeria.

The famous singer, who has a cult-like following among Nigerian youths, pledged his full support for the war against drug abuse.

Recall that the artiste was sometime dragged by a vast majority of netizens who knocked him for
allegedly declaring that nothing would ever stop him from smoking.

He has also been been enmeshed in series of controversies, from being arraigned for suspected internet fraud to allegedly inflicting bodily injury on a former artiste signed to his label, Mohbad.

Naira Marley is rated as one of the most successful music artistes in Nigeria with some of the popular songs including Abracadabra, Soapy, Opotoyi, Koleyewon.
