Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has requested a Federal High Court in Abuja to send him to Kuje jail. Kanu has been detained for over two years and is on trial for alleged terrorism.
According to him, the Department of State Services (DSS) lacks a medical facility to treat him for his condition. He said there was a long-running plot to kill him while in DSS custody.

He stated, “People will come to see me, but they will not allow it. They do not have a medical facility. I have congestive heart failure. They’re stitching me up.
“My foot is swollen. I asked if they could perform surgery, and they answered no. There is a conspiracy to die in detention. I’d like to be transferred to Kuje.
