This is a heavy task a great challenge, but by the grace of God we will be equal to the task and we are also equally ready to face the challenge squarely and effectively,” stated Alhaji Haidara the newly appointed commissioner of information and culture shortly after he assumed duty.
Haidara who made the revelation in his new office in gusau capital of Zamfara, also disclosed his readiness to work tirelessly with a view to addressing some, if not all of the challenges facing the information sector in the state.
according to the commissioner, no government in the world over will underrate information, citing an example with united state of America (USA) which he said, “USA has become the most powerful nationa an earth and not because it is so, but because of the way and manner it handles information and that is our plan here in Zamfara.
we are going to prove it to the world very soon that we are the most powerful state in the federation in terms of publicity and other information related issues,” he added.
the commissioner further stated that he will make sure that no stone was left unturned toward working round the clock alongside his state so that collectively they will succeed adding,” I am sure and I believe that the caliber of people I met here are all capable and ready to work like they used to not even before my coming here as their commissioner to cooperate with me so that our mission can be positively accomplished.”
he explained that as the importance of information cannot be over emphasized, he will do all he can within his reach and that of the ministry to ensuring that the sector has regained its lost glory as far as the dissemination of information is concerned. “we are going to use all any available avenue with aim of rebuilding and reactivating this all important sector, the sector that not only government everybody cannot do without”, Haidara said.
the commissioner therefore called on all and sundry across the state to rally round the administration of Dauda Lawan and continue to give their maximum support like they gave before, so that together the administration will succeed in the delivery democratic dividends to them. I am assuring you that the entire nation will very soon some to realize that the state has positively changed in all ramifications, because it has now a governor whose mission and intention is to give it a total transformation as he promised and it is against that background that all of us accepted the offer to serve that is the zeal and determination of the governor to bring sanity in the state, to bring an end to the present insecurity which he has already started and the people of the state can testify to this fact.”
