PEPC: Labour Party’s Witnesses Rejected by Court

During the Court hearing on Wednesday 6, The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal rejected 10 out of the 13 Witnesses presented by Labour Party’s Peter Obi.

According to Justice Haruna Tsammani, Only 3 out of the 13 witnesses called by the Labour Party were filed along with the petition. Tsumanni said the remaining ten were only filed after the hearing has started.

In line with the Nigerian constitution, section 137(7) of the Electoral Act 2022, and other provisions, every witness statement must be filed along with the petition.
