NSCDC decorates 746 promoted officers in Osun

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Osun State Command, has decorated 746 promoted officers in the command.

According to a statement by the state NSCDC spokesperson, ASC Adeleke Kehinde, on Saturday, the decoration was done on Friday for “Six Deputy Commandants of Corps, 33 Assistant Commandants of Corps, 36 Chief Superintendents of Corps, 120 Superintendents of Corps, 127 Deputy Superintendents of Corps, 295 Assistant Superintendents of Corps (I) and 129 Assistant Superintendent of Corps (II).”

Adeleke said the state Commandant of NSCDC, Agboola Sunday, decorated the officers at the state command’s headquarters in Osogbo.

She said the commandant described the promotion as an award of excellence, dedication, hard work, loyalty and discipline.

“He, therefore, appealed to the newly promoted officers to see their promotion as another step in their bright career.

“He lauded the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and the NSCDC Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Audi, for approving the promotion of 21, 385 for NSCDC.

“He said they have made an indelible mark on the Corps members which would be difficult for anyone to surpass.” Adeleke stated

She said the newly promoted officers were urged to justify their promotion and charged to imbibe selflessness in the discharge of their duties.
