Governor Dapo Abiodun has received praise from Hammed Benco, the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress’s Ogun State chapter, for his empathy and responsiveness to the state’s laborers’ predicament.

Benco gave a speech at the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, at the unveiling of two brand-new, eighteen-seat buses to the National Union of Local Government Employees and the NLC.

Speaking for the two unions, the NLC chairman said that the governor is a man who truly cares about the condition of workers and who is constrained by his word.

“We are indeed grateful to him and convinced of his commitment to welfare and well-being of workers as well as people of the state.”

The NLC chairman pledged the loyalty of the workers to the Abiodun-led administration towards the optimal fulfilment of its “Building Our Future Together” mantra.

Speaking at the event, Abiodun noted that the presentation was in fulfilment of his promise to give the two unions brand-new buses for their day-to-day activities.

The governor, who was accompanied by his deputy, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, said that the wellbeing of state employees has always come first during his administration.

He called on state employees to continue supporting the current administration, pointing out that in order for labor representatives to properly do their duties, they must be free to move around the state.
