Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, better known by her stage name Ayra Starr, is a Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer who has disclosed that she has already prepared her acceptance speech.

Ayra Starr’s song “Rush” has a nomination for the 66th Grammy Awards’ first Best African Music Performance category.

The Mavin Records artist stated in a recent interview with Cool FM Nigeria that she is expected to win the prize in spite of fierce competition.“I have my Grammys speech ready. It is fairly long because it is the first African category. Ayra Starr remarked, “I already know my outfit and my walk.”

She declared that her first move after receiving the prize would be to video call her mother after dining at a Chinese restaurant.
The 66th Grammy Awards are scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 4, 2024.

Rush by Ayra Starr, “Unavailable” by Davido, “Amapiano” by Asake and Olamide, “City Boys” by Burna Boy, and “Water” by Tyla will compete for the first Best African Music Performance award.
