Sarkin Gurku His Royal Highness, Alh. Jibrin Waziri has regained his freedom after spending one week in captivity. Accordingly, the royal father was released by his abductors in the early hours of Monday unhurt.
While thanking all that assisted in one way or the other towards the release of the monarch, the Gurku traditional council confirmed the release of the paramount ruler of the Chiefdom, but regrettably, the abductors are still holding hostage the wife Hajia Sa’adatu that were kidnapped along with the royal father.
As the palace called for an intensified prayers for the release of the wife of the royal father, the traditional council equally appreciated the security agents and appealed to the residents to be calm and vigilant as security is a responsibility of all.
Report of the kidnapped monarch released from his abductors was conveyed to newsmen in a press release signed by Mallam Zubairu Adamu, the District Head and Madaki n Gurku, on Monday evening.
