“The elder statesman is personally saddened by the fact that this happened only two days after he spoke with the Commanding Officer of the 181 Battalion about the preparations for the burial of his younger brother, Colonel Bernard Clark (retired), who was buried on Friday, March 15, 2024.
He called the heinous conduct “totally unacceptable and must be thoroughly investigated.” There must be no sacred cows; the perpetrators must be brought to justice as soon as possible.”
PANDEF lamented the murdered military members and expressed condolences to all the families and the Nigerian Army, while asking the Nigerian Army and other security professionals around the country to continue their outstanding national duty and not be discouraged by the tragic occurrence.
